Back from vacation, which has been really nice. Mostly I’ve read books (Hyperion Omnibus, by Dan Simmons – I recommend it), listened to audio books (the last bunch of the Harry Potter books, thanks Christoffer), and been working on my own pet projects. It’s been nice to have time also to get acquainted with the neighbourhood and the rest of the city.

Now I need more audiobooks to have something to listen to while I’m working!

My woes right now:

• Latifeh filed for bankruptcy on friday, meaning that my friends Anders and Erik may be out of their jobs, and that Patrick and I probably won’t get our 150 000 SEK (SGD$34,000), but in fact we’ve end up losing 70 000 SEK we already paid to a contractor. Perfect.
• My employment pass still hasn’t gone through. Sigh!
• I miss my monitor and keyboard from home – you try working with full HD material on a laptop screen.
• I need money.
• I can’t sleep at night.

Other than that, though, things are just peachy. As soon as I get money I will indulge in stuff. YEAH!
