Since the N95 8Gb isn’t yet supported by Apple’s iSync (at least not in 10.4, which I’m still using), and the Nokia iSync page still doesn’t cover it, I decided to whip up my own by modifying the existing N95 one. This page put me on the right track. If you want it; knock yourself out.

Update 2008-02-12: Tried fiddling with the identification tags to see if it works better with new firmware. Not sure if it helped, though, but try it!

Flat Balloons Iconset

Took some time yesterday to update my icon set for Adium, Flat Balloons. Get it from the Adium Xtras-page.

Ok, latest updates:

  • I have my EP! And a bank account with UOB. Now I need a proper cell phone account, but I can’t keep my prepaid number. How’s that for a developed country, huh?
  • Was just home in Stockholm for ten days. I didn’t meet even half of the people I wanted to, and I caught a cold. But it was still nice.
  • I’m renting out my apartment, from yesterday, to my friend Christoffer. Feels good that it’s not a waste of money being empty, but it also feels a little strange having somebody else staying in it.
  • Having a meeting with Ogilvy Singapore tomorrow. Hope to do some work with them. More later.

“The appeal may take up to two weeks to process”. Four weeks later, after having placed called daily to the MoM, I manage to reach somebody yesterday who, after a couple of quick questions, talks to a supervisor. Gets back to me and says “Sir, how long has your company been registered for?” “Umm, about 4 months.” “Oh, then I regret to inform you that your appeal was rejected” “Uh, what? Why?” “You need to apply for an Entre Pass, since your company has not been registered for six months.” “But… but… what? It doesn’t say so on your website” “Sorry sir, that’s the rules.” And after a few more seconds of stunned conversation, me being completely confused and angry and disappointed, we hang up.

After the news that Latifeh went bankrupt late last week, thus basically probably screwing me and Patrick out of 150k SEK, I today found out that my application for an Employment Pass by the Ministry of Manpower was rejected. I am now working on trying to figure out how to appeal, and how to clarify that my educations at Berghs and Forsbergs are, indeed, together equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree.

God damn it! I don’t have time nor energy nor money for this shit.

Back from vacation, which has been really nice. Mostly I’ve read books (Hyperion Omnibus, by Dan Simmons – I recommend it), listened to audio books (the last bunch of the Harry Potter books, thanks Christoffer), and been working on my own pet projects. It’s been nice to have time also to get acquainted with the neighbourhood and the rest of the city.

Now I need more audiobooks to have something to listen to while I’m working!

My woes right now:

“We are pleased to inform you that the proposed company name – Edlund Pte. Ltd. has been approved by ACRA.”

So there you have it, folks. Now I’m gonna get back to reading my book.

These last few weeks have been crazy, work wise. But at least some things have been accomplished, like the new page for Spara 4 Life (Swedish), a campaign from Swedish bank Skandia and Latifeh (creators of among other things the magazines Gringo and Macho) to make kids save money for retirement. Patrick and I were designers, and Elias from Proportio did the flash. It’s been chaos and plenty of blood, sweat and tears, but at least it’s online! Finally!
