Watched the series finale of Rome and the season finale of Battlestar Galactica yesterday evening. The finale of Rome, De Patre Vostro, was an excellent episode, and I feel that I have somewhat neglected the show this last season, often fiddling with other stuff while watching it. It is/was a series that demands your attention more than, say, Alias or 24. All in all, it was a typical HBO production; extremely
beautifully shot, excellent actors and just high budget, all in all. The thing it perhaps lacked was a soul, but I find that usually is the case with HBO’s series. They are beautiful in every way, but they don’t have the little extra thing that perhaps House or Firefly has/had.

Sunday at 11.45. Probably the worst time of the week. Here’s a list of things annoying me right now:

  • That it’s Sunday and 11.45, and that tomorrow by extension is Monday.
  • That having sorted papers all evening leaves me bored and the floor cluttered.
  • That my blog still looks kinda crappy.
  • That I have nothing fun to do this week.
  • That Alias, after two one and a half seasons, still really hasn’t taken off.
  • That we just switched to daylight savings, leaving me with one less hour of sleep.
  • That my brother keeps borrowing my stuff. Growl!
  • That I don’t have any snacks.

I might as well go to bed. Good night.

My grandmother, Astrid, passed away this morning. She was 101 years old. We’ll all miss you dearly.

Giga Joystick!

Monday again. What’s up with that? Damn fortunate there’s Giga Joystick(!).

Next time I think I’ll have Giga CD! Or Giga Virus. Yum yum.

Spent the weekend on the couch, watching pretty much all of the first season of Alias. I don’t know. Either the show really isn’t very good, it picks up later or I’m missing something vital. And Jennifer isn’t all that hot. Oh well. At least Battlestar Galactica is on tonight. Weeeheee.

Outside it’s snowing like crazy. I thought winter was over for now. Frak. Better try to get some work done.

Friday. Finally. And quite an expensive one at that. But yeah! I’ve bought tickets to Singapore (again), and I’m leaving on the 4th of April. Per is moving to Holland the same day, so he and I (and probably the rest of the family) will hang out in Amsterdam for a couple of hours before my flight leaves for Singapore. Have to start prepping for my trip though. What people to see, what forms to fill. All that jazz.

But man, oh man, is it gonna be nice to go or what!

In other news, the Friday was kinda nice. A lot of meetings in the day, and Jonas and I had the world’s best pizza, folköl, watched the series premiere of The Riches (could definitely be something), the series premiere of Raines with Jeff Goldblum (pretty abysmal) and the series premiere of October Road (boring). Gonna end the evening with Lost and orange juice, I think.

Just finished watching the last episode of Stargate SG-1. I’d say it was an ok end to an ok show. I mean, I’ll watch anything sci-fi, but this show definitely had its moments. Though I must say it had a pretty rapid decline since season 9.

It pretty much came down to a lack of good characters. O’Neill (Richard Dean Anderson, yes, MacGuyver) was the character who kept the show together. The rest, with the possible exception of Daniel Jackson (Michael Shanks) were all pretty blend.

Guess I’ll have to stay with Battlestar Galactica to get my dose of sci fi needs from now on. And perhaps Stargate Atlantis. Somebody revive Firefly already!

Now I’m gonna check if Fox’s new series The Ri¢hes, with among others, Eddie Izzard, is as good as some say.

After a long, painful (read: migraine) weekend, and after having spent Thursday and Friday in Piteå I thought it would be nice to get back to work, but right now I’m just sick and tired of everything. Feels like I’m just fixing stuff, never getting time to stop and think and do things for myself and for my own development and for fun.

I wanna finish this blog for instance. And watch bad television. And work on my own projects, and hopefully be able to post them here when I’m done. If I ever will be of course.

But nah. It’s more HTML and CSS and cleaning up for me.

Frak.

Best just go to sleep and hope tomorrow will be grand.

Guess it’s about time I start blogging too, seeing as pretty much everyone I know already started. Well, that’s an overstatement of course, but I’ve thought about it for quite a while.

Not sure what I’m gonna write about, but I’m sure it’ll work itself out eventually.

Stay tuned for more, once I’ve spent a lot more time tweaking the design.
